A: Yes, many insurance companies and extended health benefits will cover the cost of psychotherapy services with a Registered Psychotherapist. Contact your insurance carrier to inquire whether you are eligible for coverage.

A: Equine-Assisted Therapy, or EAT, is an excellent addition to talk therapy helping with substance abuse, addiction, behaviour and mood disorders, eating disorders, learning differences, ADD/ADHD, grief/loss, anxiety, OCD, life transitions, trauma, depression and related conditions.

A: Yes, it’s a very safe environment. You’ll have lots of time to get accustomed to the horse so no need to worry. You’d be surprised how fast some people adjust and overcome their fear!

A: Our barn is just north of Toronto in Caledon, Ontario. We’re just minutes from Woodbridge, Maple, Kleinburg, King City, and the surrounding GTA.

A: No, all the work is done on the ground.

A: Dress for the weather in comfortable clothes – ones that you’re fine with getting a little dusty or dirty. Layers are best. And wear closed-toe shoes or boots.

A: Bring a raincoat if it’s raining. If the weather is really bad, we’ll be in touch.

As a therapist, I am bound by confidentiality, which means I will not share the content of our discussions with anyone without your explicit written consent. Any exceptions to this will be discussed in our first session.
